Captain Imdadul Hoque, a Boeing 777 Captain of Biman Bangladesh Airlines took his last breath on 9th March (Saturday). He was 52 years old. He was suffering from illness from last few months and in last week diagnosed as in the last stage of skin cancer. He was popularly known as Captain Imdad.

Capt. Imdad's body reached Dhaka from Bangkok on 10th March evening. He was received by his colleagues and employees of Biman. His Namaze Janaza was held at sector 3 Jamee Masjid Uttara at 8 pm and later burial at sector 4 graveyard.

Capt Imdad was known as one of the kindest, soft spoken and well behaved person amongst the employees of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. He was known as the most popular pilot amongst their community Bangladesh Airline Pilots Association (BAPA). President BAPA Captain Mahbubur Rahman has described the departure of such a good soul as a huge loss for the airline and the pilot community of Bangladesh.

Air Marshal (Retd.) Muhammad Enamul Bari, Chairman Biman Board of Directors, Managing Director & CEO Mr A M Mosaddique Ahmed, Executive Vice President of the Montreal based International Pilots Forum (IFALPA) Captain Ishtiaque Hossain have sent their condolence for the untimely departure of Capt Imdad and to his bereaved family.
